Simon Lala - MNZM, B.Com, CA

Principal

Simon has being in the accounting profession for over 40 years and has extensive experience specialising in small to medium sized enterprises across most business and not for profit sectors. He has a personal mission to ensuring his clients achieve the maximum success from their business ventures and from the start maintains a good working relationship..

With offices in both Auckland and Wellington, Simon has a very dedicated team of 6 staff.

Over the past 25 years Simon has being very involved with the NZ Child Cancer Foundation where he was a Board member for over 15 Years and Chairman or a six year term. He has also been a Board member of Canteen and the Auckland Ronald Mc Donald Accommodation Trust.

Internationally Simon was a Board member of Child Cancer International for over 10 years and the International Chair for a 4 year term.

In 2007, Simon established the World Child Cancer Charitable Trust which he currently chairs and whose mission is to help Childhood Cancer in the Pacific and other developing countries.



In recognition of his services to Childhood Cancer Simon was awarded a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit in 2013 in addition to being a Life Member of the New Child Cancer Foundation and Child Cancer International. Outside of work and charity involvement, Simon has a keen interest in sports and travel and enjoys spending quality family time with his wife Sue and daughters Wanita and Tess.

Susan Hays

Assistant Accountant

Susan has been with Lala + Associates since 2008. During her time here she has completed a NZ Diploma in Business and is now completing the requirements to becoming an Accounting Technician.

Susan performs accounting & taxation duties for small & medium businesses and not for profit organizations.

She is skilled in many accounting software packages including Banklink, MYOB products & Xero.



Away from the office, Susan enjoys getting outdoors and catching up with friends and family.

Sandy Caulton

Accounts Assistant

Sandy joined Lala + Associates in 2010. Has been employed for over 26 years in chartered accountancy and come from a previous background with the Inland Revenue Department.



Sandy is involved in the preparation of financial statements and tax returns. Her other duties include GST, Payroll, Annual company returns, taxation and liaison with the Inland Revenue Department and other general office duties.

Outside of work Sandy enjoys walking and catching up with family and friends.
